The Sixth International Workshop on the Mars Atmosphere: Modelling and Observations will be held at "Salón de Actos" of the Higher Technical School of Civil Engineering from the University of Granada, located in the Campus de Fuentenueva. The venue is within easy walking distance of Granada city centre (about 10min).

#How to arrive to Granada?

  • By Plane

Direct flight to Granada: Federico García Lorca Granada – Jaén Airport only has good connections with several major Spanish cities. Because of this reason, people usually fly to Madrid, Barcelona or Palma de Mallorca and then book a direct flight to Granada. Check your options below:

-Madrid: Iberia

-Barcelona: Iberia, Vueling 

-Palma de Mallorca: Air Europa

-There are also direct connections to London on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays: British Airways

The airport of Granada is 16 kilometres away from the city and offers a wide variety of facilities, tourist information, coffee bar, car rentals, bus service and taxis. Taking a taxi is the fastest option to get you to Granada. The ride will cost you around 27€. For more info, please follow the link.

On the other hand, you can get the bus to the city centre. The ticket costs 3€ and the ride takes approximately 40 minutes. For more info, please follow the link.

Direct flight to Malaga: Malaga – Costa del Sol Airport has more than 70 international destinations from all over the world in addition to its national connections. This is the nearest international airport and It's only 90 minutes away from Granada. You have 4 options to get there:

Bus (from Malaga Airport): You can get a bus from Malaga airport to Granada bus station. This route has several stops along the way -and takes 2 hours and 30 minutes. The price is around 11€. Visit ALSA  if you want to buy your ticket online or check the time tables.

Bus (from Malaga Bus Station): This is the fastest bus option. First you need to go to the Malaga Bus Station. There are multiple ways:

-The A Express Bus Line. The bus stop is on the arrivals forecourt of Terminal 3 and the buses run every 30 minutes. You can buy the ticket on the bus for 3€ and the ride takes about 15 minutes.

-The C1 Train Line. This train can get you to the city centre for 1.80€. The trains run every 30 minutes and the ride takes 8 minutes.

-Taxi. The fare is approximately 20€.

 

Once you get to the station, you can catch a bus to Granada almost every hour from 7:00am until 21:30pm. The fare is around 12€ and the ride takes 1 hour and 45 minutes. Visit ALSA  if you want to buy your ticket online or check the time tables.

Car Hire: Most companies have pick-up and drop-off points both at Granada airport and in the centre of the city. Average prices are 36€ for the economic option, 52€ for the standard option and 116€ for the executive option.

Taxi: If you don't mind spending a few more Euros, you can always take a taxi. The price is around 150€ during the weekdays and 174€ during the weekends. It takes around one hour and a half.

  • By Train

You can buy your ticket online in the RENFE  homepage and check detailed information about prices and time tables.

  • By Bus

The bus network around the country is fairly extensive and there are multiple connections with major European cities. Visit ALSA if you want to buy your ticket online or check the time tables. For international tickets, you should visit Eurolines

-Madrid: You need to go to “Estación Sur” if you want to catch a bus to Granada. You would be unlucky if you have to wait longer than 2 hours. The trip takes about 5 hours and costs arround 20€.

-Málaga: See above in “Bus (Málaga Airport)" and “Bus (Málaga Station)”.

  • By Car

There are good roads to all major Spanish cities. It takes about 5 hours from Madrid, 11 hours from Barcelona, 90 minutes from Malaga.

#Registration

How to register?

 

First you will need to complete the registration form. After that, payment will be made either by bank transfer to account number ES78 0182 0440 2202 0163 5306 (SWIFT CODE: BBVAESMMXXX) or by credit card using PayPal platform. The bank transfer must clearly state the name of the attendee and the reference shown in the invoice. 

M.A.M.O registration fees:

  • Early registration: 265€

  • Late registration (from 14th December onward): 295€ Extended until 18th December onward

What is included in the fee?

The registration fee includes the meeting registration, coffee and snacks breaks each day, gala dinner, wellcome cocktail, all cultural activities listed in the tentative agenda and the Abstract book.
