Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to announce that, after 28 years, the 17th International Conference on Reactive Oxygen and Nitrogen Species in Plants will be held once again in Granada, Spain, from September 9 to 11, 2026.
In this edition, we aim to focus on the metabolism of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS), but also to integrate other signaling and bioactive molecules and their metabolism, such as hydrogen sulfide, melatonin, and compounds of secondary metabolism with antioxidant capacities such as polyphenols, flavonoids, terpenoids, anthocyanins, carotenoids, or vitamins.
As with previous editions, our goal is to have an informal and friendly environment where we can share the latest advancements in the metabolism of these important molecules in plants and their potential interactions with their surroundings.
Granada is an attractive city in Southern Spain that combines scientific innovation with rich cultural heritage, making it an ideal destination for scientific congresses. The city is home to esteemed institutions such as the University of Granada, the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and the Science and Technology Health Park (namely PTS in Spanish), which foster cutting-edge research and innovation across various fields. With the landscape of the spectacular Sierra Nevada mountains and its vast multi-cultural history, Granada offers wonderful natural and architectonic beauty, while the nearby tropical coast provides a unique climate that supports diverse ecosystems. With its perfect mix of modern infrastructure, academic excellence, and natural charm, Granada is an inspiring environment for scientific collaboration.
We look forward to your participation!
